Installing Archlinux on Mac Mini

You can install the system as every else expect the last point. The standard bootloader doesn’t like the Mac Mini. So we must install a different version of Grub. First of all exit the installer at the “Install Bootloader” point.

Type the following commands:

cp /etc/resolv.conf /mnt/etc/resolv.conf
mount -o bind /dev /mnt/dev
mount -t proc /proc /mnt/proc/
mount -t sysfs /sys /mnt/sys/
chroot /mnt bash

Install the packages

Then we install the new Grub

pacman -Syu
pacman -S grub2-bios

Configure Grub

Type following:

grub-install --directory=/usr/lib/grub/i386-pc --target=i386-pc --boot-directory=/boot --recheck --debug /dev/sda
grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

After that you can reboot
